Tour to Garni and Geghard


Excursion to Garni and Geghard is one of the most popular among the guests of Armenia. After all, these two very beautiful and significant architectural monuments are located just 40 km from Yerevan, in close proximity to each other. The only monument of the pre-Christian era of Armenia that has survived on the territory is the pagan temple of Garni and the Geghard monastery complex carved into the rock surrounded by beautiful nature. In addition, on the way to Garni and Geghard, a beautiful panorama of the biblical Mount Ararat opens up.


Garni – Geghard

The name of the monastery complex comes from the spear that pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and, according to historical sources, brought to Armenia by the apostle Thaddeus among many other relics. 
  • Departure to Garni, where there is the only monument in the territory of Armenia that belongs to the era of paganism and Hellenism
