Wine tour to Aragatsotn

Description

We invite you on a one-day wine tour to the Aragatsotn region, home to some of Armenia’s most popular wineries—Armenia Wine, Van Ardi, Voskevaz, and others. We’ll visit one or two different wineries, sample wonderful wines, and learn about the winemaking process. The Aragatsotn region, along with the Vayots Dzor region, is considered the winemaking center of Armenia. It’s home to several unique wineries, two of which we’ll visit today. We’ll also enjoy a short tour of the region’s landmarks.

Program

Saghmosavank – Amberd – Mount Aragats – Wineries

  • We’ll head to the Aragatsotn region.
  • Our first stop will be the Saghmosavank Monastery, located on the edge of the picturesque Kasagh Gorge.
  • We’ll then climb Mount Aragats, on whose slopes lies the ancient 7th-century fortress of Amberd.
  • After exploring Amberd, we’ll head to our first winery, where we’ll have lunch and a tour with a tasting of wonderful wines.
  • We’ll also visit a wine museum.
  • Following this, we can visit another winery if you wish.
  • Return to Yerevan.
