We invite you on a two-day tour to the famous spa town of Jermuk, located in the Vayots Dzor province. Jermuk is primarily known for its mineral springs. The town is located at an altitude of 2,100 meters above sea level. On the way to Jermuk, we’ll also stop at Khor Virap Monastery, which offers stunning views of Mount Ararat, and visit Noravank Monastery, surrounded by beautiful red cliffs. While it’s possible to tour Jermuk in one day, it would be very tiring, and we wouldn’t have time to visit other attractions along the way. Therefore, we recommend a two-day tour to Jermuk.

Program

Day 1: Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni – Jermuk

Departure to Khor Virap Monastery, located at the foot of Mount Ararat, famous for being the place where the first Catholicos of All Armenians, Gregory the Illuminator, spent many years in captivity.
Next, our journey leads to one of Armenia’s most beautiful monasteries, Noravank, surrounded by sheer red cliffs.
After exploring Noravank and its surroundings, we’ll head to the village of Areni, which could be called the winemaking center of Armenia.
A tour of a wonderful winery, where we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch and a tasting of one of Armenia’s finest wines.
After lunch, we’ll visit a cave where ancient wine jugs and shoes dating back approximately 6,000 years were recently discovered. Arrival in Jermuk
We’ll stroll through the town and sample some wonderful mineral water.

Day 2: Jermuk – Yerevan

After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the beautiful Jermuk waterfall, known as “Mermaid’s Hair.”
We’ll then stroll through the town.
We can also arrange a jeep tour to the Jermuk geysers.
Lunch
Return to Yerevan.
