Tour Garni - Geghard - Sevan


Excursions to Garni and Geghard, as well as to lake Sevan are one of the most popular among the guests of Armenia. This day we will visit all these places. Garni and Geghard are two very beautiful and important architectural monuments located just 40 km from Yerevan, in close proximity to each other. The only surviving monument of the pre – Christian era of Armenia-the pagan temple of Garni and surrounded by beautiful nature carved into the rock monastery complex Geghard. In addition, on the way to Garni and Geghard, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the biblical mount Ararat. And lake Sevan is one of the largest Alpine lakes in the world.


Garni – Geghards-Sevan

  • Departure to the monastery complex Geghard – a unique architectural structure, part of which is carved into the rock. The name of the monastery complex originates from the spear which had pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and, according to historical sources, brought to Armenia by Apostle Thaddeus, among many other relics.
  • Departure to Garni, where is the only preserved monument in Armenia, belonging to the era of paganism and Hellenism.
    Walk through the gorge, where you will see a small miracle of nature called “stone Symphony”.
  • Lunch, during which You will take a direct part in the baking of the famous Armenian bread – lavash.
  • Trip to the lake Sevan. Visiting the monastery Sevanavank, walk along the lake. Dinner in a beautiful restaurant. Fish, beer and crayfish will be waiting for us.
  • Return to Yerevan. Free time.
