Description
Syunik is a region worth exploring without rushing. Five days allow enough time to travel deep into southern Armenia, discover its small towns and ancient monasteries, and add a real day in the mountains to a journey through the region.
The route takes us through Goris, Tatev and Kapan to Meghri and the Araks Valley in the far south of Armenia. Along the way, we will discover the winemaking traditions of Vayots Dzor, explore Khndzoresk, travel through mountain gorges and visit ancient fortresses and places rarely included in standard tours around Armenia.
One of the highlights of the journey is Mount Khustup, the symbol of Kapan and one of the most recognizable peaks of Syunik. A full day is dedicated to the mountains: traveling by 4×4 as far as the route allows and completing the final section towards the summit on foot.
Syunik Tour – 5 Days combines a journey through southern Armenia with mountain roads, history and outdoor adventure — for travelers who want to discover the country far beyond the classic routes around Yerevan.
