Sometimes, to discover one of the most beautiful sides of Armenia, all it takes is leaving the paved road behind and heading high into the mountains. That is exactly what our Jeep Tour to Mount Dimats is about — one of the most exciting one-day adventures around Dilijan.

Traveling by 4×4 vehicles, we follow the mountain roads of Tavush and climb towards Mount Dimats, with impressive views of the surrounding cliffs, forests and mountains. Along the way, there are alpine meadows, small mountain settlements and, with a little luck, the famous wild horses that roam freely in this area.

High in the mountains, we stop for a picnic with beautiful panoramic views, before continuing to Haghartsin Monastery, hidden among the dense forests of Dilijan National Park.

On the way back, an optional stop can be made at Lake Sevan, with the possibility of taking a boat trip on the lake.

Program

Yerevan – Mount Dimats – Yerevan

Morning departure from Yerevan by 4×4 vehicle towards Tavush and the mountains of Dilijan.
Continue along mountain and off-road routes towards Mount Dimats, passing alpine meadows, mountain landscapes and small settlements along the way.
Arrival in the highlands of Mount Dimats, with panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs, forests and mountains. Wild horses can often be seen in this area.
Picnic in the mountains with panoramic views.
Continue to Haghartsin Monastery, a medieval monastic complex surrounded by the forests of Dilijan National Park.
On the way back to Yerevan, an optional stop can be made at Lake Sevan. A boat trip can also be arranged, weather permitting.
Return to Yerevan in the evening.
