Description
Lastiver is one of those places in Armenia where the trail seems to lead into a fairy tale. Dense forests, a deep gorge, a mountain river, waterfalls and caves hidden among the rocks create a very special atmosphere in this part of Tavush.
Our hiking tour to Lastiver begins near the village of Yenokavan. From here, the trail leads through the forest and along the picturesque gorge towards the caves and waterfalls of Lastiver. In just one day, the route takes us far away from the noise and bustle of the city.
Near the caves, we descend to the mountain river and waterfalls, with time to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. After a rest, we hike back through the forest to Yenokavan.
The day can also be combined with ziplining or horse riding in Yenokavan, turning a relaxing hike into a small adventure.
Lastiver is a great choice for travelers who enjoy nature and hiking but are not looking for a challenging mountain ascent. It is one of the most scenic options for an active day trip from Yerevan.
