Climbing to mount Khustup

Description

We invite you to an amazing three-day tour to the south of Armenia with an ascent to the top of Mount Khustup. Mount Khustup is one of the most beautiful and picturesque peaks in Armenia. Amazingly beautiful views open up from the top of the mountain. The mountain is located in the south of the country, in the Syunik region, near the city of Kapan and is the main symbol of the city and the region. The height of Mount Khustup is 3206 m.

Three amazing days await us during which we will climb to the top of Mount Khustup, and also see many attractions in the area.

Program

Day 1: Yerevan – Noravank – Tatev – Kapan

  • Early in the morning we leave for the south of Armenia by SUV
  • Our first stop will be one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia – Noravank, surrounded by steep red cliffs.
  • Lunch
  • Then our path will lie in the direction of, without a doubt, the most magical place in Armenia – the village of Tatev.
  • Our route will run along the longest cable car in the world, stretching over the Vorotan gorge. The maximum height of the road is 320 meters.
  • In Tatev we will have an excursion to Tatev Monastery
  • In the evening we will arrive in the city of Kapan
  • Overnight in tents on the slopes of Mount Khustup

Day 2: Climbing to the top of Mount Khustup

  • Early rise and breakfast
  • Then we will have a hiking tour to the top of Mount Khustup, amazingly beautiful views open up from the top of the mountain
  • A small snack at the top
  • Return to Kapan
  • Rest

Day 3: Kapan – Vahanavank – Baghaberd – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • Then we will go to the very beautiful monastery complex of Vahanavank, surrounded by a beautiful forest
  • We will also get acquainted with the ancient fortress of Baghaberd and other beautiful sights in the vicinity of Kapan
  • Lunch
  • On the way to Yerevan we will also make a stop at the Shake waterfall
  • We will return to Yerevan in the evening
