Description

We invite you to our yoga tour in Armenia. You will be waiting for 8 days of complete reboot and disconnection from everything and immersion in the beauty of Armenia. Delicious food, clean water, always hospitable locals and unique places of power. We will be waiting for visiting yoga practices in the most beautiful corners of Armenia. This is a tour for people who are united by a love of outdoor activities and a healthy lifestyle!

Our yoga teacher Grant Dandurov has been teaching yoga and meditation for 10 years. In addition to Armenia, he took groups on yoga tours to India, Thailand and Bali.

Program

Day 1: Yerevan

  • Arrival in Yerevan
  • Meeting at the airport, hotel accommodation
  • Sightseeing tour of Yerevan
  • Welcome Dinner
  • Free time

Day 2: Dilijan – Yenokavan

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • We leave towards the most wooded region of Armenia – Tavush. In Dilijan we will walk around the old town, after which we will go to the most beautiful Dilijan National Park, where we will have our first lesson
  • After that we will have a delicious lunch.
  • Next, we will visit the Haghartsin monastery complex surrounded by a beautiful beech forest.
  • In the evening we will arrive in the village of Yenokavan, which can be safely called Armenian Switzerland.
  • Evening meditation, rest and dinner

Day 3: Lastiver – Horse ride

  • Breakfast
  • Further, those who wish can take a horseback ride, during which beautiful mountain landscapes will be waiting for you.
  • Next we will have a second session.
  • After that, we will go on a short hiking tour along the gorge to the caves of Lastiver and a mountain river with a waterfall, where we will also have a delicious lunch
  • Rest
  • Return climb to Yenokavan
  • Those who wish will also be able to fly on the Zip-line
  • Dinner and rest

Day 4: Yenokavan – Sevan – Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • After that we go to one of the largest alpine lakes in the world, Lake Sevan.
  • Here we will be waiting for our next lesson, we will also take a short boat trip.
  • After that, we will go to the village of Garni, where the only monument preserved in the territory of Armenia, dating back to the era of paganism and Hellenism, is located.
  • Lunch with locals
  • After lunch, we will walk along the gorge, where you will see a small miracle of nature called the “Stone Symphony”.
  • We will also visit the Geghard monastery complex – a unique architectural structure, part of which is carved into the rock. The name of the monastery complex comes from the spear that pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and, according to historical sources, brought to Armenia by the Apostle Thaddeus, among many other relics.
  • In the evening we will arrive in Yerevan
  • Free time, rest

Day 5: Mount Aragats – Amberd Fortress

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • After breakfast, we will go to the highest mountain in Armenia – the four-headed extinct volcano Aragats.
  • To begin with, we will stop near the fortress of the 7th century Amberd, located at an altitude of 2300 m.
  • Here we meditate a little
  • Then we will climb to a height of 3300 m to the small lake Kari, where we will have our next lesson.
  • After that we will have another delicious lunch.
  • And after lunch we will go to the Saghmosavank monastery, located on the edge of the most beautiful Kasakh gorge, where we will have another meditation
  • In the evening we will return to Yerevan

Day 6: Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni – Karahunj – Goris

  • Departure to the monastery of Khor Virap, located at the very foot of Mount Ararat, which is known for the fact that it was here that the first Catholicos of All Armenians, Gregory the Illuminator, spent many years in prison.
  • Here we will conduct our next lesson against the backdrop of the biblical Ararat
  • Further, our path lies to one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia – Noravank, surrounded by sheer red rocks.
  • After that, we will visit the cave, where not so long ago ancient jugs of wine and shoes were discovered, dating back about 6000 years.
  • Next, we will have an excursion to a small winery with a tasting and a delicious lunch.
  • And after lunch we will go to the greenest city in Armenia, Goris. On the way, we will make a short stop for meditation in a place near the Zorats Karer complex – Karahunje or, as it is also called, the Armenian Stonehenge.
  • In the evening we will arrive in Goris.

Day 7: Khndzoresk – Tatev – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • Our next lesson will take place in the ancient village of Khndzoresk. Where we will also walk along the suspension bridge across the gorge and get acquainted with the ancient caves where people lived 100 years ago.
  • Further, our path will lie towards, without a doubt, the most magical place in Armenia – the village of Tatev.
  • Our route will run along the longest cable car in the world, stretching over the Vorotan Gorge. The maximum height of the road is 320 meters.
  • In Tatev we will visit the monastery of the same name, get acquainted with its abbot, father Mikael
  • After that we will have a delicious lunch.
  • On the way to Yerevan, we will also make a stop near one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia – Shake waterfall
  • In the evening we will return to Yerevan

Day 8: Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • We will dedicate this day to Yerevan
  • We will visit the museum of ancient manuscripts – “Matenadaran” and the Tsitsernakaberd complex
  • Further, in search of unique souvenirs, we will wander around the famous Vernissage flea market and buy a lot of delicious food at the food market
  • After we wait for farewell troubles
  • Airport transfer
