Description

Winter extreme sports enthusiasts are invited to a unique ski tour to the Armenian ski resorts of Tsaghkadzor and Myler. Tsaghkadzor, one of the most picturesque corners of Armenia, is located at an altitude of approximately 2,000 meters. This popular ski resort is located 50 km from Yerevan. Its modern ski slopes were built in 2008. Myler is a new, modern ski resort that opened in 2023 in the village of Yegipatrush, 55 km from Yerevan. A state-of-the-art cable car, new exciting slopes, stunning views, and the purest mountain air await you. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of nature and the purest mountain air. You can also try skiing or snowboarding. We will also offer a short excursion program.

Program

Day 1: Yerevan

  • Arrival in Yerevan
  • Meeting at the airport
  • Sightseeing tour of Yerevan
  • Welcome dinner
  • Transfer to Tsaghkadzor
  • Hotel accommodation

Days 2-4: Tsaghkadzor

  • Breakfast
  • Free time to ski or snowboard, or explore winter Tsaghkadzor.

Day 5: Tsaghkadzor – Sevan – Dilijan – Haghartsin – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • Next, we’ll head to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. Here, we’ll admire the azure waters of Sevan and explore the ancient monastery located on the peninsula.
  • Afterwards, we’ll head to the famous resort town of Dilijan.
  • We’ll stroll through this beautiful city. A delicious lunch awaits us at a picturesque guesthouse.
  • Afterwards, we’ll drive through a protected beech forest to the beautiful 11th-13th century monastery complex of Haghartsin. This gem of a canyon, one of Armenia’s most mysterious places, is immersed in the greenery of mountain forests.
  • We’ll return to Yerevan in the evening.

Day 6: Myler Ski Resort

  • Breakfast
  • Departure to the village of Yegipatrush.
  • We’ll dedicate this day to skiing at the Myler Ski Resort.
  • Return to Yerevan in the evening.

Day 7: Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni

  • Breakfast
  • Departure to Khor Virap Monastery, located at the foot of Mount Ararat, famous for being the place where the first Catholicos of All Armenians, Gregory the Illuminator, spent many years in captivity.
  • Next, our journey leads to one of Armenia’s most beautiful monasteries, Noravank, surrounded by sheer red cliffs.
  • We’ll also visit a cave where ancient wine jugs and shoes dating back 6,000 years were recently discovered.
  • Next, we’ll visit a winery with a tasting and a delicious lunch.
  • Afterwards, we’ll return to Yerevan in good spirits.
  • Free time

Day 8: Garni – Geghard – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • Departure to Garni, home to the only surviving monument in Armenia dating back to the pagan and Hellenistic periods.
  • A walk through the gorge, where you’ll see a small natural wonder called the “Stone Symphony.” Departure to the Geghard Monastery Complex, a unique architectural structure, part of which is carved into the rock. The monastery complex’s name derives from the spear that pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross and, according to historical sources, was brought to Armenia by the Apostle Thaddeus along with many other relics.
  • Lunch
  • Return to Yerevan.
  • Transfer to the airport.
