Tatev hosted the festival “Shearing sheep”

Near the station Halidzor of the ropeway Tatever today was the festival Shearing of sheep, the main initiator of which is the implementer of the program “Revival of Tatev” Foundation “Initiatives of Development of Armenia” (IDeA). The press service of the Fund reports.

The main goal of the festival, which is held for the second year in a row, is to develop tourism in Tatev and to activate the social and economic life of the 9 communities included in the Tatev Revival program.
In addition to an interesting competition on “Shearing sheep” and awarding the winners, various events were organized during the festival – national songs and dances, sports competitions, tasting of national and specific dishes, photosession in national costumes (Taraz) by the Marashlyan photo studio.
The festival is organized by the Tatev Revival Foundation and the Initiative for the Development of the Motherland jointly with the NGO Strategic Development Agency, partners are the NGO Women’s Resource Center in Goris, sponsors are Golden Grape ArmAs and Pepsi.
