Leopard with cubs caught on camera in Armenia

During the next tour of the Zangezur National Reserve, the director of the reserve filmed a Caucasian leopard with two cubs on camera.
This is the first of its kind in many years. Leopards were considered to be an animal species completely extinct in Armenia. But in the last few years, a few individuals have been discovered, they fell into a camera trap. Now leopards periodically get on cameras placed in the Khosrov Reserve, in the Tavush forests, in the Zangezur National Park, as well as in the mountains of the Vayots Dzor region. But this is the first time an animal has been caught on camera along with its cubs.
Nature is slowly recovering, and great attention is paid to the conservation of this species of animals in Armenia.
Let us remind you that the Caucasian subspecies of leopards (Panthera pardus tulliana) lives in Armenia, it is not only listed in the Red Book of Armenia, but is also in the Red Book of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
