Forbes wrote about the Armenian part of the Transcaucasian trail

The concept of a 3,200 km hiking route through Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia was proposed four years ago. The Transcaucasian Hiking Route stretches across the entire Caucasus, linking about two dozen existing and proposed national parks in the region.

In 2019, Time magazine included the Transcaucasian Trail in the prestigious list of “100 most beautiful places on the planet.” With this, journalist Brienne Wilson begins her article and campaign in Armenia.

The author’s journey began in Yerevan, and then Sevan followed the route. The trail goes through the picturesque villages of Kalavan, Khachardzan, Gosh, Dilijan National Park, Haghartsin Monastery, and from there to Haghpat and Sanahin Monasteries.

“Each of the corners offers something absolutely amazing,” said Brienne. She also enthusiastically spoke about the hospitality of the locals, about the good conditions in the guesthouses. Separately, the traveler noted the Armenian cuisine, which she considers one of the best in the world.
