Journey along the bottom of Lake Sevan

Recently, the diving club “ArmDiving” with the support of the Ministry of Environment of Armenia made a photograph of the bottom of Lake Sevan. The parties recently entered into an agreement to study the lake, as well as clean up the lake from various wastes and old sunken nets.
Recall Lake Sevan is located at an altitude of about 1900 meters above sea level and is one of the largest alpine lakes in the world. From all sides Sevan is surrounded by mountain ranges. The lake owes its origin to the volcanoes of the Geghama Range. Sevan consists of two parts – Big and Small Sevan, connected by a small strait. In the old days, Sevan was called the Geghama Sea.
