High on the slopes of Mount Aragats, near its vast volcanic crater, lies one of Armenia’s most beautiful waterfalls — Gegharot. Fed by the melting snow of Aragats, the waterfall is especially powerful in early summer. It can only be reached along mountain roads, making the 4×4 journey to Gegharot an adventure in itself.

From Yerevan, we head towards Mount Aragats by 4×4 vehicle, gradually leaving the paved roads behind and continuing through the highlands towards the waterfall. Along the way, volcanic landscapes and vast open spaces reveal a completely different side of Armenia — far from cities and the usual tourist routes.

At the waterfall, we stop for a picnic in the mountains, with time to relax and enjoy one of the most unusual landscapes of the Aragats highlands.

Jeep tour to Gegharot waterfall

Morning departure from Yerevan by 4×4 vehicle towards Mount Aragats.
Continue into the highlands, leaving the paved roads behind and following mountain and off-road routes across the volcanic landscapes of Aragats.
Arrival at Gegharot Waterfall, located high on the slopes of Mount Aragats.
Time to explore the area and enjoy the surrounding mountain scenery.
Picnic near the waterfall.
After the picnic, return by 4×4 through the Aragats highlands.
Arrival in Yerevan in the evening.
