And all this will be complemented by delicious Armenian cuisine with wonderful wine. Don’t miss this exciting journey!

Program

Day 1: Yerevan

  • Arrival in Yerevan
  • Meeting at the airport, hotel check-in
  • Sightseeing tour of Yerevan
  • Welcome dinner
  • Free time

Day 2: Khor Virap – Noravank – Areni – Karahunj – Goris

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Departure to Khor Virap Monastery, located at the foot of Mount Ararat, famous for being the place where the first Catholicos of All Armenians, Gregory the Illuminator, spent many years in captivity.
  • Next, our journey takes us to one of the most beautiful monasteries in Armenia – Noravank, surrounded by sheer red cliffs.
  • We will also visit a cave where ancient wine jugs and shoes dating back 6,000 years were recently discovered.
  • Next, we will tour a winery, where we will have a tasting and a delicious lunch.
  • Next, we will travel to Goris, the greenest city in Armenia. Along the way, we’ll make a short stop in Karahunj, a village near the Zorats Karer complex, also known as the Armenian Stonehenge.
  • We’ll arrive in Goris in the evening.

Day 3: Khndzoresk – Tatev – Yeghegis

  • After a delicious breakfast, we’ll head to the ancient village of Khndzoresk. We’ll cross a suspension bridge over a gorge and explore ancient caves where people lived 100 years ago.
  • Our journey will then continue towards what is undoubtedly the most magical place in Armenia – the village of Tatev.
  • Our route will take us on the world’s longest cable car, stretching over the Vorotan Gorge. The cable car’s maximum elevation is 320 meters. In Tatev, we’ll visit the monastery of the same name and meet its abbot, Father Mikael.
  • Lunch
  • On the way, we’ll make another stop at one of Armenia’s most beautiful waterfalls, Shake Waterfall.
  • We’ll spend the night in a small hotel with a beautiful mountain view in the village of Yeghegis.

Day 4: Sevan – Dilijan – Haghartsin – Yenokavan

  • Breakfast
  • We’ll travel along a beautiful mountain pass to Lake Sevan, one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. In Sevan, we’ll enjoy the beauty of one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world, and also enjoy yachting or kayaking.
  • Lunch with a view of the lake.
  • In the evening, we’ll arrive in the village of Yenokavan, which could easily be called the Armenian Switzerland.
  • Dinner
  • Rest

Day 5: Yenokavan

  • Breakfast
  • We’ll spend this day in this magical place.
  • First, those who wish will enjoy a horseback ride through stunning landscapes and a zipline ride.
  • Afterwards, we’ll go on a short trek through a picturesque canyon to the Lastiver caves, a mountain river, and a waterfall.
  • A delicious lunch will be waiting for us near the river and waterfall.
  • Return ascent, rest.
  • Dinner

Day 6: Jeep tour to Mount Dimats – Yerevan

  • Breakfast
  • We’ll say goodbye to this beautiful place and continue our journey.
  • A beautiful jeep tour to Mount Dimats awaits us. We’ll climb to the top of the mountain, which offers a beautiful view of the cliffs and the towns of Dilijan and Ijevan.
  • A picnic will be waiting for us at the summit.
  • We’ll also visit the beautiful 11th-13th century monastery complex of Haghartsin. This gem of a canyon is one of the most mysterious places in Armenia, immersed in the greenery of mountain forests.
  • We’ll return to Yerevan in the evening.

Day 7: Garni – Geghard

  • Breakfast
  • Departure to the Geghard Monastery Complex, a unique architectural structure, part of which is carved into the rock. The name of the monastery complex comes from the spear that pierced the body of Jesus Christ on the Cross, which, according to historical sources, was brought to Armenia by the Apostle Thaddeus among many other relics.
  • Departure to Garni, home to the only surviving monument in Armenia dating back to the pagan and Hellenistic eras. A walk through the gorge, where you’ll see a small natural wonder called the “Stone Symphony.”
  • Lunch, during which you’ll participate in baking traditional Armenian bread, lavash.
  • Return to Yerevan
  • Airport transfer
