Armenia is an ideal destination for a nature escape. The green mountains of Lori, the forests of Dilijan and Tavush, the shores of Lake Sevan, dramatic canyons and remote mountain landscapes make it possible to leave the busy streets of Yerevan behind and find yourself surrounded by nature in just a few hours.
And spending time in nature no longer necessarily means sleeping in a basic tent and giving up comfort. In recent years, glamping in Armenia has become increasingly popular, combining the atmosphere of camping with many of the comforts of a countryside hotel.
Instead of traditional tents, guests can stay in spacious canvas tents, geodesic domes and unusual cabins equipped with comfortable beds, electricity, heating and private terraces. Some properties also offer private bathrooms, hot tubs and other amenities.
Glamping is a great choice for a romantic getaway, an unusual weekend escape, an active holiday or simply a couple of peaceful days away from the city.
A growing number of properties across Armenia now describe themselves as glamping sites. However, the quality of accommodation, infrastructure, location and service varies considerably.
Rather than creating another Top 10 simply for the sake of numbers, we have selected the glamping sites in Armenia that we can genuinely recommend to our guests.

📍 Dsegh, Lori Province
WOW Glamping is one of the most interesting places to experience glamping in Armenia.
It is located near the village of Dsegh, the birthplace of famous Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan. This is one of the most beautiful areas of northern Armenia, surrounded by green mountains, forests, deep canyons and spectacular panoramic views.
The greatest attraction of WOW Glamping is its location and atmosphere. This is not simply somewhere to spend the night. It is a place where you can slow down, enjoy breakfast overlooking the mountains, explore the surrounding countryside during the day and return in the evening to watch the sunset far from the noise of the city.
Dsegh can also easily be included in a longer journey through Lori, together with Debed Canyon, Vanadzor, Alaverdi and the UNESCO-listed monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin.
Recommended for: couples, nature lovers, photographers and travelers exploring northern Armenia.

📍 Lori Province
Glamping Park is another of our favorite glamping options in northern Armenia.
The experience here is closer to a small countryside retreat, making it a good place not only for an unusual overnight stay but also for spending a full day or two away from a busy sightseeing itinerary.
One of its most attractive features is the opportunity to relax in a hot tub outdoors. It is particularly atmospheric in the evening or during cooler weather, surrounded by the mountains and nature of Lori.
Glamping Park can easily be incorporated into a journey through Lori and Tavush or visited as a separate short escape from Yerevan.
Recommended for: couples, romantic getaways and travelers looking for a peaceful break in nature.
📍 Artanish, Lake SevanComuna Sevan offers a completely different experience from the other places on our list.
There are no dense forests like those of Lori or Dilijan. Here, the main attraction is the immense blue expanse of Lake Sevan and the mountains surrounding it.
The property is located in the Artanish area, on a much less touristy part of the lake. The atmosphere here is very different from the popular beaches and hotels on Sevan’s western shore: fewer visitors, wide-open landscapes and a much stronger feeling of being immersed in nature.
During summer, a stay here can be combined with swimming, SUP, kayaking and other water activities. Evenings overlooking Lake Sevan are an experience in themselves.
We particularly like the idea of including one or two nights at Comuna Sevan in a summer private tour of Armenia.
Recommended for: lake lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and travelers looking for beautiful sunsets and unusual natural settings.
📍 Dilijan, Tavush ProvinceDilijan is one of the best destinations in Armenia for a nature-focused holiday. The town is surrounded by the forests of Dilijan National Park, temperatures are generally cooler than in Yerevan during summer, and numerous hiking and walking trails can be found nearby.
It is therefore one of the most natural locations in Armenia for a glamping experience.
Dilijan Glamping is a good option for travelers who want to stay close to nature while remaining within easy reach of Dilijan’s restaurants, attractions and tourism infrastructure.
During the day, you can explore Dilijan National Park, visit Haghartsin and Goshavank monasteries, head to Lake Parz or wander through Dilijan’s historic quarter before returning to the glamping site for a quiet evening surrounded by forests and mountains.
It is also a convenient introduction to glamping for travelers who like the idea of staying in nature but are not ready to venture too far from civilization.
Recommended for: couples, active travelers and first-time glampers.

📍 Lori Province
Glamping EcoValley is another interesting option for travelers who want to spend a few days surrounded by the landscapes of northern Armenia.
The main attractions here are the green mountains, tranquility and the opportunity to escape the rhythm of city life.
EcoValley can be considered either for a short standalone countryside break or as part of a longer itinerary through Dilijan, Vanadzor and Lori Province.
Northern Armenia is particularly suitable for this type of holiday during summer. While Yerevan can become very hot in July and August, temperatures in the mountains of Lori are generally much more comfortable.
Recommended for: couples, nature lovers and travelers looking for a peaceful countryside escape.

📍 Yenokavan, Tavush Province
We decided to place Yenokavan Glamping outside our main five recommendations.
This is certainly not because of Yenokavan itself — the region is spectacular.
Yenokavan is one of the most impressive areas of Tavush, with deep gorges, forest-covered mountains, hiking trails and excellent opportunities for outdoor activities.
The main advantage of Yenokavan Glamping is its secluded location. It offers a genuine opportunity to stay almost completely surrounded by nature.
However, this remoteness also comes with certain limitations. The infrastructure is relatively simple, and the final part of the road may be less convenient for a regular passenger car. For this reason, we would not recommend it to every traveler.
Instead, Yenokavan Glamping is best suited to guests for whom adventure, privacy and proximity to nature are more important than the comfort and service level of a traditional countryside hotel.
A stay here can be combined with hiking, horseback riding and other outdoor activities around Yenokavan.
Recommended with some reservations: active and adventurous travelers specifically looking for a remote nature experience.
Looking at our selection, one thing quickly becomes clear: several of Armenia’s best glamping sites are located in Lori Province.
There is a good reason for this.
With its green mountains, dense forests, dramatic gorges and relatively cool climate, Lori is almost perfectly suited to glamping and eco-tourism.
In summer, it provides a welcome escape from the heat of Yerevan. In spring, the mountains turn intensely green, while autumn transforms the forests into shades of yellow, orange and red.
Travelers who want to make glamping an important part of their trip should therefore pay particular attention to Lori and neighboring Tavush Province.
The best period for most glamping sites in Armenia is generally from May to October, although the exact season depends on the region and facilities available at each property.
For Lori and Dilijan, June through September is particularly pleasant. July and August are excellent months for escaping the summer heat of Yerevan.
For Lake Sevan, July and August are the best choices, especially if you want to combine your stay with swimming and water activities.
Another particularly beautiful period is late September and early October, when the forests of Lori and Tavush begin displaying their autumn colors.
Some glamping sites have heating and can operate well beyond the traditional summer season. We therefore recommend checking the current operating dates and conditions of each property before planning your stay.
For most travelers, we recommend one or two nights.
This is usually enough time to enjoy the experience: relax after several days of sightseeing, watch the sunset, spend an evening outdoors and wake up surrounded by mountains, forests or Lake Sevan.
There is no need to spend your entire holiday at a single glamping site.
In our experience, it is much more interesting to combine several nights at a comfortable hotel in Yerevan with a journey through Armenia’s regions and one or two memorable nights surrounded by nature.
The contrast between city life, historical landmarks and remote landscapes is one of the things that makes a journey through Armenia so interesting.
A night at a glamping site can become much more than simply unusual accommodation — it can be one of the highlights of your trip.
Travel-Armenia can include the best glamping sites in a customized private tour of Armenia, select the most suitable property according to the season and your itinerary, and arrange transportation.
A glamping stay can be combined with jeep tours, hiking, SUP and kayaking, horseback riding, wine tastings, outdoor picnics and other activities.
Imagine spending the day exploring Armenia’s mountain roads, hiking through beautiful landscapes or paddling on a mountain lake, followed by dinner surrounded by nature and a peaceful night under the stars.
The next morning, you wake up to views of the mountains, forests or Lake Sevan.
These are often the moments that become the most memorable part of a journey through Armenia.
