The meeting of Ministers of tourism of the silk road countries have taken place

The participants of the meeting noted that considering that 2017 was declared the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development by the United Nations, there are excellent opportunities to increase the contribution of the tourism sector to three components of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental – while raising awareness of the real scale of the sector, which is often underestimated.
In its heyday, the Silk Road was the largest supply chain on the world level. For more than two millennia, the Silk Road has contributed to the overall prosperity and development of mankind. Today, the Silk Road is an important tool to promote intercultural dialogue that fosters harmony, solidarity and peace in the region.
